Our run starts at 6pm and we gather in our New Balance Community Room. We also bring in vendors for wear-test runs, and beer runs on occasion feel free to come on by! |
MAY | Sports Bra Fit Fest Thursday, 4 PM Rhode Runner will be holding our Spring Moving Comfort Fit Fest on Thursday May 23rd from 4:00pm-8:00pm and you are invited! Your sports bra should never have a birthday and this is a great time to stock up! MAY | Asics Mile Prediction Exhibition Wednesday, 6 PM Are you a pacing expert? Can you lock into a pace and be spot on your whole run? Then Join us May 29th at 6pm for Rhode Runner's first Mile Prediction Exhibition! For those of you who don't know what this is keep reading. All you have to do is predict what time you will run for one mile around the track (4 laps). You can guess 5 mins, you can guess 15 mins, either way whoever finishes the closest to their predicted time wins! We will confiscate your watch and will keep time for everyone so no one cheats! We will meet at Hope High School track around 615pm, but for those who would like to warm up (Hope is about a 10 min jog from our store) or do our group run instead feel free to come by the store and we'll head out at 6pm. Entry is free but we will be collecting cash or check donations for One Fund Boston. Asics will be providing prizes for those who are the closest to their predicted times! |

JUN | Make Tracks for Kids 5k Saturday, 9 AM Join Celebrity Chairman Tony Petrarca on the USATF certified courst that wind through the beautiful campus of Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. All participants will receive a t-shirt and post event BBQ lunch. There are prizes for the top three men and women finishers and ribbons for the top three in each age division. The entry fee will be refunded if any partipant raises $100 or more in donor pledges. There will be a prize for the individual and team that raises the most money.
All proceeds benefit Connecting for Children and Families, a community-based nonprofit organization located in Woonsocket, RI that seeks to improve the quality of life for disadvantaged children, youth and adults. |

JUN | A Race To Grow 5k Sunday, 9 AM 5k and 1 mile Stroller Walk - The gently rolling 5K course, starting and finishing at A Place To Grow, is accurately measured by Ray Nelson. The “1 Mile” Stroller Walk is 0.835 miles. T-shirts to all 5K entrants pre-entered by June 1st. Special prize for first A Place To Grow Parent in the 5K who crosses the finish line! All proceeds from “A Race To Grow” will help our center continue to grow and provide high-quality care for our children. |

JUN | Good Form Running Clinic Thursday, 6 PM Join us for our Good Form Running Clinic! Good Form Running is a great way to reduce injuries and keep your running form efficient and comfortable! It is free and is taught by Hunter Stewart a Rhode Runner employee who is a Good Form Running Certified. Hunter is also a USATF certified coach and currently is coaching at CCRI. Feel free to ask him any questions! We also ask as always, if you have any old running shoes please bring them by and we will recycle them! |
JUN | Matty's 5k Run/Walk Saturday, 9 AM Come on out for this great Family 5k on Saturday June 8th at URI in Kingston, RI. The race begins with a kids 10 and under "Matty's Mighty Dash" at 9:00am.
